THE SAN ANGELO MUSEUM of Fine Arts invites families to attend Family Day on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 10am to 2pm at the Education Studio, located in the breezeway at 1 Love Street in downtown San Angelo. This month's Family Day theme is Sound into Color! Families will explore how music becomes movement, color, texture, and emotion. Spend the day with music painting, rhythm drawing stations, album cover art, and instrument sculpture building. Visitors are encouraged to stop by the Concho Clay Studio throughout the event for free drop-in clay activities. No registration is required. In addition to art activities, guest can browse a free children's book giveaway in SAMFA'S Grand Hall. The books are generously provided by the San Angelo Adult Literacy Council and anonymous donors. Family Day is FREE and OPEN to the Public. Light refreshments will be available while supplies last. Activities are subject to change, and additional surprise activities may be offered throughout the day. The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums. The Museum is supported by generous contributions from both individuals and businesses.
